What we collect and who receives it
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and records the pages you view, the site that referred you, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Clicks on affiliate links are recorded as analytics events. Google processes your IP address to provide this. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Affiliate links. Some links go to retailers and software vendors through affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates, Best Buy, Adorama, and the Impact and Partnerize networks. When you click one, the retailer may set its own cookies to credit the sale to us. We only receive aggregate commission reports, never your name or payment details.
- Email. If you sign up for email or opt in at checkout, Mailchimp stores your email address and your name if you give it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Purchases. When you buy a download, we collect your name, email and billing address through WooCommerce. Payments are processed by Stripe (WooPayments) or PayPal; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep order records for tax and accounting.
- Comments and embeds. Some posts use Facebook Comments, which is governed by Facebook’s privacy policy. Embedded YouTube videos may set YouTube cookies.
- Security and hosting. The site is hosted on
Kinsta behind Cloudflare and uses Wordfence and Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and attacks. These services process IP addresses to serve and protect the site.
We do not sell personal information, and we don’t run display ads.
